The Squid Research Lab (aka the Splatoon social media team) is hard at work detailing new information about Splatoon 3 (and more importantly, writing goofy tweets about it), taking the time this week to dish out some refreshers on rollers in the third person shooter.
Squid Research Lab here, rolling out a report on rollers! These versatile weapons can lay down a wide path of ink on the ground or fling it forward for a more traditional attack. Warning: do NOT paint your apartment with one. (A “friend” lost their security deposit that way.) pic.twitter.com/P5fok23XLL

They talk about both the standard Splat Roller and the weightier Dynamo Roller, weapons that roll across the ground to paint turf but can also be swiped both horizontally and vertically to fling ink for combat.
For the advanced user, behold the Dynamo Roller! This heavyweight weapon swings more slowly than other rollers but offers more inkpower. Horizontal and vertical swings practically blanket the area with ink, making it a truly formidable flinger! And roller. It's still a roller. pic.twitter.com/TR7rkyynix

The research lab is only just getting going, and there’ll undoubtedly be a whole haul of fresh info before the game launches in September. Check back periodically for more!
