It’s about time a Star Fox-like game showed up on the Nintendo Switch eShop. From independent developer Dynamic Media Triad, Astrodogs will bring Nintendo’s classic animal space rail-shooter format back to the modern day with a heavy dose of extra canine action.

Previously, Astrodogs received a demo on Steam to collect user feedback for the final build of the game. According to Dynamic Media Triad, the Nintendo Switch version of Astrodogs will have plenty of features that were not in the game’s PC version including optional gyro controls for slow-motion aiming, a level select, checkpoints before boss fights, and an alternate way to unlock the true ending path.

Will you be joining the battle to save all of puppydom and become a true Astrodog pilot next month? Astrodogs will be released on Switch this upcoming April 8th for $12.99.
