It was only a few weeks ago that we saw Digimon Survive get a new character trailer alongside a Q&A with the game’s producer. Now that trailer’s been properly translated into English, providing a glimpse at the game to come:
Celebrating the franchise’s 20th anniversary, Digimon Survive is a story-focused tactical RPG set in a more somber, bleak atmosphere. Protagonist Takuma Momozuka and his school friends go on a camping trip when, in classic Digimon fashion, they end up transported to the digital world and must struggle to survive as they find a way back. Focused primarily on visual novel/adventure segments with additional battles, it’s shaping up to be a really exciting new entry in a storied franchise. It’s planned to release in 2022.
