As part of today’s Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Digital Event, Capcom pulled back the curtain on several elements of the upcoming expansion. Most notably, we finally have a release date! That’s not all though, as new and returning monsters were shown along with the brand new hub and its associated characters.

The monsters shown here included the brand new Garangolm, a hulking Fanged Beast that uses both fire and water attacks with its powerful arms. It joins the previously revealed Malzeno and Lunagaron as the Three Lords – a group of monsters threatening the expansion’s new Kingdom. Also shown was a new variant, the teased Blood Orange Bishaten, who’s known for tossing exploding pine cones. Finally, a returning member of the Fated Four has arrived in the form of Astalos, a powerful electricity wielding flying wyvern.

Elgado Outpost was the other star of the presentation, with its cast of characters introduced. This’ll be your new homebase between explorations and quests. So far only one hunting ground has been introduced, that being The Citadel, but who knows what else could be in store when Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak comes to Switch on June 30th.

The standalone download will run $39.99, with a DLC filled Deluxe Edition available for $49.99. Anyone interested in starting fresh from the required Rise base game can do so by picking up the two in a set for $69.99. Lastly, a Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Collector’s Edition will also be available for $99.99. This will include a digital voucher for the Sunbreak Deluxe Edition, as well as stickers, an enamel pin, steelbook case, and a Malzeno amiibo.
