Last night the lineup of featured titles for the world’s largest fighting game tournament was announced. Despite previous confirmation that Nintendo and Super Smash Bros. would not be participating, and the certainty that all official matches won’t be played on Nintendo Switch, a handful of the games that will take this global stage can be found on the system.

Most notably, indie darling and endless beta extraordinaire Skullgirls: 2nd Encore has managed to rise to main stage prominence in the wake of its recent DLC developments. The game has, in the past, instead been found on a smaller stage and as part of exhibitions. Most notably, it and Super Smash Bros. Melee were in heated competition to be a main stage game via a 2013 charity drive (that Melee won in the end).

The full list of titles is below, with games available on Switch bolded:

    • Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition
    • Guilty Gear -Strive-
  • Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate
  • Tekken 7
  • The King of Fighters XV
  • Melty Blood: Type Lumina
  • Dragon Ball FighterZ
  • Granblue Fantasy: Versus
  • Skullgirls: 2nd Encore

EVO 2022 will take place, in-person, August 5th through 7th in Las Vegas. Registration is live now.
