Bandai Namco surprised us all in December 2021 with the unexpected announcement of a new DLC character coming to 2018’s Dragon Ball FighterZ. Android 21 (Lab Coat), which depicts the game’s main antagonist in her standard form before succumbing to her evil, Majin-like appearance, now has a confirmed release date of February 24th with a new trailer showcasing her moves.

The trailer was revealed at the conclusion of the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2022 event this past weekend. Despite her more professional attire, we can see that Android 21 has a bunch of fast and frantic moves up her sleeve in order to take on the rest of the FighterZ roster.

During day two of the Battle Hour 2022 stream, Android 21 (Lab Coat) was described as “an all-rounder with useful skills and the ability to handle a variety of situations.” Her skills include “rushing, anti-air, long-range, guard-breaking, and barrier,” with “many ways to break down the opponent’s guard.” Her fighting style differs from that of her evil form, which is already included in the game’s roster.

As for the future of Dragon Ball FighterZ following the new character’s release, Producer Tomoko Hiroki stated, “We’re currently considering a variety of events inside and outside of the game to ensure that everyone can continue to enjoy Dragon Ball FighterZ.”

Dragon Ball FighterZ is available now on Nintendo Switch and other platforms. Android 21 (Lab Coat) will be available to purchase via the Nintendo eShop and other digital storefronts depending on your system of choice.
