The Mario Strikers game seemed like a two-off pair of strangely brutal combat soccer Mario games for the GameCube and Wii, but now after over a decade of dormancy, the series is back: Mario Strikers: Battle League has been announced for the Nintendo Switch during today’s Nintendo Direct.

The reveal gives us everything we would expect — combat gear, extreme soccer shots, and tackling your opponents into electric fences. There are two new features distinguishing this game: customizable equipment that will affect your stats, and Hyper Strikes that can allow you to score two goals at once. While not quite as ludicrous as the five-point goals from Mario Strikers Charged, it’s sure to be a more frenetic and balanced experience as a result.

The game will include 8-player multiplayer locally and online. Mario Strikers: Battle League will release on June 10th.
