Shin Megami Tensei V set a new launch month sales record for the franchise during November, according to a United States NPD sales report.
The game was also a top-selling game for the month, ranking No. 16 overall and No. 6 on Nintendo platforms.
US NPD SW – Shin Megani Tensei V achieved the highest launch month dollar sales of any Shin Megami Tensei title in history. Shin Megami Tensei V ranked as the 16th best-selling game of November 2021 while also ranking 6th on Nintendo platforms.

Games in the Persona series, a spin-off of Shin Megami Tensei, are not included in these figures.
Digital sales of Shin Megami Tensei V are also not included, as NPD figures never include digital sales of Nintendo games.
Shin Megami Tensei V launched on November 12th, 2021 exclusively for Nintendo Switch — four years (and a lot of silence) after its initial announcement.
