Despite its importance on a global scale, the stock market has rarely gotten the video game treatment. This new indie title from Ternox Games, however, seeks to change that, and with style.

STONKS-9800: Stock Market Simulator emulates the aesthetics of classic Japanese computers, like those from NEC, combining a retro UI with some ’90s inspired anime pixel artwork. The result is something that is surprisingly visually striking despite all the graphs.

Spicing things up further are additional gambling minigames like horse races and pachinko. You can even avoid the grind altogether by spending time with your co-workers or playing arcade games.

STONKS-9800: Stock Market Simulator will hit PC in Q1 2022 and will launch for Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox later in the year.
