According to Nintendo’s latest financial data, the Nintendo Switch’s most popular title has now outsold Mario Kart Wii by over a million units — which also means it is officially the best-selling racing game of all time.
Mario Kart Wii ended its store shelf lifespan with an incredible total of 37.38 million units sold placing it high above the sales figures of its predecessor Mario Kart DS along with the highest selling entries of both Gran Turismo and Need for Speed series. Currently, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is standing at 38.74 million units.
