It’s always fun to ponder “what if?” What if Nintendo made the PlayStation with Sony? What if Alex Kidd stayed Sega’s mascot? What if the Game Boy Advance came with a dock? Well, you might not have pondered that last one, but creator Macho Nacho Productions has shared a build that achieves just that.

 

 

In the video above you can see the whole process in which a Game Boy Advance SP is essentially attached to its own Nintendo Switch unit, complete with dock. There’s lots of soldering involved, and a few custom parts, but if you’ve been looking to play Game Boy games with Joy-Con then it’s well worth looking into.

For the rest of us, it’s a neat look at what could have been if Nintendo had this idea 15 years earlier!
