Super Smash Bros. Ultimate had an incredible assortment of newcomers across its vanilla release and DLC. From Inkling all the way to Sora, it was a wild ride of “who’s next?” for Nintendo’s own lineup and third party guests. Now that the last of them has taken his chosen place within the roster, what better way to celebrate than by having them all face off in the “Ultimate” online tournament?

Yes, Ultimate’s cast is getting its own dedicated tournament event, just like all previous Smash games have. It’s worth mentioning that the Switch game’s new challengers total nearly the entire character select screen in Melee, and really shows how far the series has come.
