Tetris Effect has managed to become one of the most recognizable entries in the puzzle series’ legacy, no doubt due to its striking visuals and hypnotic soundtrack. Having a name coined from a real-life mental phenomenon helps as well, something that the game’s Switch launch trailer highlights.

That’s not the only half of the equation though. This is the “Connected” version of the game, where players are able to combine their boards and play together. That multiplayer approach fits well into the game, and will no doubt be right at home with those prone to share their Joy-Con.

Tetris Effect: Connected will make its awaited drop onto Switch tomorrow, October 8th.
