Yesterday’s Monster Hunter Tokyo Game Show Spotlight had quite a bit of news for Rise. Along with announcements of new collaborations and monsters coming to its Sunbreak expansion, Monster Hunter Rise’s Steam release got some attention. It’ll be sad to see some of the player base potentially jump ship to make use of their PCs, but if a Capcom survey is to be believed we might not have to worry about that.
Hunters, we’d love to hear your thoughts on our TGS 2021 Monster Hunter Spotlight!
Please fill out this brief survey to share your opinion.#MHStories2 #MHRise #Sunbreak

Following the above link will take you to a questionnaire based on the TGS broadcast and Monster Hunter in general. It’s all fairly routine stuff, similar to surveys that have gone out after other MonHun Digital Events. Most interesting though is a question on Rise’s PC release – “What, if anything, would make you more interested in purchasing Monster Hunter Rise on PC?”
Heading further down to potential answers will show mentions of cross-play and cross-progression between PC and Switch. This would definitely be welcome, especially after past multi-platform titles have kept players locked to their consoles. I’ll take portability over performance in this case, but I’m not about to say no to being able to get even more friends on board with the game while breaking down a barrier like that in the process.
