Kicking off today’s Nintendo Direct was not Super Smash Bros., but instead a little something coming to us from Kamura Village. Monster Hunter Rise is getting a full expansion next year, titled Sunbreak.
In the vein of Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, this will be a full addition to Rise — new monsters, story, hunting actions, and difficulty to be found. While pricing and specifics weren’t provided, we did see a new (likely flagship) taking on Rathalos.
Look forward to Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak in Summer 2022.
