In a very timely move, Nintendo has confirmed that Tetris 99’s next Maximus Cup is going to be a cross-over with the recently released WarioWare: Get it Together!
The theme fills in the background with iconic characters, makes the border resemble Wario’s fictitious gaming handheld, and plasters pixelized faces on the pieces. I can’t help but wonder why they didn’t make the S and Z blocks feature Kat & Ana, though…
The event will run this weekend from 12 a.m. PT on September 17th to 11:59 p.m. PT on September 20th. Be sure to play and unlock the theme if you want it!
