Poor Dedede just can’t catch a break. That there’s a self-proclaimed king, one of the highest stations of authority in all of Dream Land! He’s already been claw-bered by K. Rool and now he’s getting decked by Little Mac in the special image for the next Smash Ultimate online tournament. That’s not even getting into Kirby creeping in with his hammer at the ready…

Of course, that penguin’s peril isn’t exactly the focus of this upcoming going-on. Rather, it’s the numbers along the left of the screen that tip us off to the theme – Stamina! This more niche style of play is going to be mandatory for the event’s duration, which’ll also have items off. All you’ll have are your character’s own strengths and strategies to play with, and only so long as their stamina lasts.
This weekend-spanning showdown will begin Friday, September 3rd.
