Dark Deity is a game I’ve been following for the better part of the last year. The strategy RPG follows in the vein of Fire Emblem, complete with support conversations and a diverse class system — and it launched on Steam earlier this year. The title’s launch made a huge splash, evidenced by the heaps of glowing praise in the accolades trailer, and this impact seems to have been large enough that it has prompted the developer to work on porting the game to Nintendo Switch.

Besides praise from multiple outlets, the Switch announcement trailer also shows off plenty of characters from the game in addition to different mechanics and maps. The pixel art is definitely reminiscent of the Game Boy Advance Fire Emblem titles of old, and the full character art is nothing short of gorgeous. It’s been announced on the official Dark Deity subreddit that the game is landing on Switch in 2022, but a confirmation of that timeframe is, surprisingly, missing from the announcement trailer.
