One of the classic titles of the early 00’s was The Simpsons: Hit & Run, a GTA-like open world game based on one of the most iconic TV shows of all time. Now, a YouTuber named reubs – known for making upscaled remakes/remasters of games in a short amount of time – has revealed a brief demo for a remake of the game, made in about a week’s time.

The 12 minute video demo shows how reubs went to several efforts to remake the game’s first mission, from using an AI program to upscale textures to finding a model of Homer that would move fluidly with a premade physics mesh to much more. Unfortunately the demo itself is no longer available to play due to copyright concerns, but you can see the finished product for itself up above. While far from complete and super polished, it’s impressive for a week’s work.
