Nothing quite gets my nostalgia brain excited quite like LEGO and Nintendo. On their own, each played a huge part of my childhood and filled my heart with glee — and when combined, they’re immensely more powerful! Sure, we have LEGO Super Mario, but what about Nintendo’s other all-stars? Don’t they deserve some bricky love as well? Enter the concept for a Metroid Dread line of LEGO created by the talented @l_di_ego on Twitter.

Included in the concept is Samus Aran in her brand-new Fusion-esque suit and a model of the E.M.M.I that looks like it jumped straight out of Bionicle! The concept is currently available to be voted on over at LEGO IDEAS — but don’t get your hopes too high quite yet, as Nintendo has turned down every IDEA to date. Either way, just looking at what could be is good enough for me. If you want to see even more amazing LEGO concepts, make sure to check out @l_di_ego.
