The next Pokémon TCG expansion will be here soon! Pokémon TCG: Sword & Shield — Evolving Skies will be launching on Friday, August 27th. Of course, The Pokémon Company is back with its pre-release plans which means you can get your hands on Evolving Skies a few weeks early. Starting tomorrow, Saturday, August 14th, the Pokémon TCG: Sword & Shield — Evolving Skies Build & Battle Box will be released! Here’s what’s inside each box according to The Pokémon Company’s official site:
This Build & Battle Box includes a 23-card Evolution pack, which contains 1 of 4 exclusive foil promo cards: Flaaffy, Galarian Articuno, Galarian Zapdos, or Galarian Moltres. The Build & Battle Box also includes four booster packs from Sword & Shield—Evolving Skies. Use these cards, along with basic Energy, to build a 40-card deck. Each of the four boosters contains 10 cards and one basic Energy. Enjoy the thrill of the reveal as you unwrap them to discover which cards you’ll be using to evolve your deck. You might find a Pokémon V, Pokémon VMAX, or other powerful cards to add to your deck! Just remember that Pokémon VMAX are Evolution Pokémon, so you’ll need the corresponding Pokémon V to put them into play.
Each Pokémon TCG: Sword & Shield—Evolving Skies Build & Battle Box includes:
- A 23-card Evolution pack, including 1 of 4 unique foil promo cards: Flaaffy, Galarian Articuno, Galarian Zapdos, or Galarian Moltres
- 4 Pokémon TCG: Sword & Shield—Evolving Skies booster packs
- A code card for the Pokémon TCG Online
Each Build & Battle Box retails for $19.99. If you’re unable to find one at the retail price this weekend, then you’ll want to pick up a Pokémon TCG: Sword & Shield — Evolving Skies Build & Battle Stadium Box. Releasing on Friday, September 10th, it retails for $59.99 and will contain all four unique foil promo cards that will be distributed in the Pokémon TCG: Sword & Shield — Evolving Skies Build & Battle Boxes.
