Calling all Nintendo fans! Anyone who has been eagerly awaiting the day they can visit Super Nintendo World (whether that’s at Universal Studios Japan or the in-progress versions of Universal Studios Hollywood and Florida) can get one step closer if they happen to live in Southern California. Nintendo announced today that some Super Nintendo World-themed merchandise will now be available to purchase at Universal Studios Hollywood for a limited time!

Previously, Nintendo did something similar for Universal Studios Japan in October last year. In response to multiple delays, Universal Studios Japan transformed a store and a café to slowly roll out merchandise and food. For fans on the west coast though, we’ll be limited to just the Super Nintendo World merchandise and it having its own section at the Universal Studio Store.

Given how recent the announcement is, all we know so far is that park guests will be able to purchase plushies of Mario and Yoshi, drawstring bags featuring Mario and Princess Peach, and Mario and Luigi costume hats. Prices have yet to be posted online, but with the park open today, no doubt we’ll see reports from fans visiting the park and photographing any additional items.

If you want to purchase any of these items, you’ll need admission to the park due to the Universal Studio Store’s location. Plus, due to COVID-19 protocol, you’ll also have to “be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, obtain a negative COVID-19 test result prior to visiting, or wear a face covering. Guests who are not fully vaccinated should wear a face covering during their visit. All guests, regardless of vaccination status, are required to wear face coverings indoors.”
