More Rhythm Heaven is needed in the world, and it’s comforting to know there are some supremely talented individuals who agree with me on that. One need only look at the Rhythm Heaven Reanimated project, which brought together several such animators and artists to recreate every minigame and medley from throughout the series.

Nearly a year later, the project has returned and done it all again to celebrate Rhythm Heaven’s 15th anniversary. Rather than a massive tribute, it’s a smaller but no less loving video focused completely on the very first minigame the series threw the world’s way – Karate Man.

It’s exactly what it says it is and more, with some extra bits and music beyond the original added in for good measure. I’m particularly partial to illustrations representing every rhythm game, as well as the shot of the whole series library (including the arcade version) brought together.

Rhythm Heaven may not always get its due from Nintendo, but there’s no denying this kind of love from fans. So say it with me now – Rhythm Heaven for Switch, please – and not just because it’d mean more of this musical charm. Now I want another game to see what inspires these people next.
