I’ve been on a Sonic music kick ever since the series’ recent 30th Anniversary Symphony, though it’s far from the only assortment of new tracks fans will have. Sonic Colors Ultimate is coming in fast, and with it will be a remixed take on its already pretty great soundtrack. We previously heard the game’s treatment of Aquarium Park, not to mention what’s been heard in various gameplay videos and trailers.

Now though, we’ve got not just another arrangement coming from a man that defined Sonic the Hedgehog music across multiple games and generations – Jun Senoue.

Colors may not have memorable bosses, but this guitar-heavy take on Tropical Resort and Planet Wisp’s final encounters still managed to get stuck in my head. There’s no knowing what other tracks Senoue may potentially take on, or who else will join him and original composer Tomoya Ohtani for these remixes, when Sonic Colors Ultimate hits Switch and other platforms beginning September 7th.
