Namco is one of the oldest video game companies around, producing some of the most iconic arcade games of the medium’s golden age. Although it’s now joined at the hip with Bandai, the company still celebrates that legacy, and now it’s opened up its artwork vault to share some history.

In the new series, titled NAMCO MUSEUM of ART, the spotlight will be shone on some of the artwork that adorned cabinets and posters. To kick things off there’s a very close-up look at some Galaxian artwork, zooming in so far you can see the texture of the paper. Check it out:
 

 
Another episode has also been released, focusing on another iconic shooter – Xevious.
