Digital Monster fans are due for another year of buffering and disconnections, sadly. The awaited tactics/survival game has been in the works for some time but with minimal news or showings. Per a new financial report shared over on Resetera, it would appear that may stay the case for some time.

Previously scheduled at various points for release in 2020 and 2021, Toei Animation have stated that Digimon Survive is now planned for some time in 2022 instead. No further details or reasoning were given, though it’s likely the impact and ongoing complications caused by COVID-19 are a factor.
