The transmutation some characters go through when they come to Fire Emblem Heroes can be staggering. Day 1 players will recall Eliwood’s eyes, or how about when Lucina received her own Resplendent variant late last year?
That only applies to their character artwork though, with the in-game characters all sharing the same simplified style. Now that look is getting touched up for a new kind of video. Be sure to take your seat before the lights go down, and enter the Chibi Playhouse!
Assuming there will be more, this first episode retells an abridged version of Heroes’ Book II story. This concerned the warring nations of Nifl and Múspell, with Fjorm requesting aid from the Order of Heroes to ward off Surtr. It’s not a perfect retelling, with characters like Helbindi and Ylgr removed, but the short and cute video is an interesting bit of direction for the mobile game.
As we’re currently in the midst of Book V, there are still two more storylines and plenty of characters to potentiality revisit in this style.
