Puzzle games can take many varied shapes, even when they aren’t concerned with many varied shapes. For example, both the warm and fuzzy Wholesome Direct and IGN’s Summer of Gaming had Unpacking to share. In it you’ll be doing just that – parsing through boxes to decorate through a series of moves and learn more about peoples’ lives.

In this meditative experience, you’ll travel through eight house moves for a character you never get to see in person. Instead you’ll see who they are by the things they own and bring, letting you sort through both belongings and memories via your own inferences. It sounds like the sort of game you can lose yourself in, slowing down to think about your own experiences along the way.

Developer Witch Beam Games is teaming up with Humble Bundle to deliver the game sometime in 2021 on both Switch and PC. A demo version will be able to try via Steam’s Next Fest, running June 16th through the 22nd.
