Way back in November of 2018, we brought you the news that a new Dragon Quest Monsters game was in development, starring a young Erik and Mia from Dragon Quest XI. There was radio silence for the next few years, but it looks like the project has resurfaced at the recent 35th Anniversary stream.

Oddly, the Monsters moniker has been dropped, and instead it’ll be titled Dragon Quest Treasures. Yuji Horii didn’t share much in the way of specifics regarding how the game would play, but you can get a general idea of the monster-aided traversal in the trailer below.

Like most of the other announcements as part of the show, no release dates were announced, but it was confirmed that the game will see a worldwide release.
