Multiplayer horror hit Dead by Daylight surprised fans with a collaboration with the Silent Hill series last year, and it’s not done yet with its creepy collaborations. The recent Resident Evil Showcase presentation announced that the game will be receiving a new DLC chapter based on the Resident Evil franchise in June 2021.
A brief teaser was shown, kicking off with a blood-soaked badge of the evil Umbrella Corporation. A man screaming in agony can be heard as well as what sounds like zombies feasting on flesh, and a man is shown hanging from a structure in a wooded area. It ends with the reveal that an Umbrella Charm will be this chapter’s exclusive item.
Director Mathieu Côté also appeared in the Showcase to reveal that a fifth-anniversary broadcast of Dead by Daylight will air on May 25th EDT, which will present “the full reveal of the Resident Evil chapter.”
The Resident Evil Showcase also premiered a new trailer for CG-animated series Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness, which was confirmed to release on Netflix in July 2021.
