Shantae has had quite the journey to her current standing in the indie scene, and it all started on the Game Boy Color. Unfortunately not too many people got their hands on that release, it being one of the last for the handheld. Scarcity and skyhigh cartridge costs have kept it from getting it into fans’ hands but all that changes later this month.

If you missed out on ordering a rerun Shantae physical copy via Limited Run Games, you can rest easy knowing it’ll be shimmying onto the Switch eShop! As an added bonus you can even play it in two modes: the original version or an enhanced version that could be accessed by playing Shantae on a Game Boy Advance.

Be ready to (re)meet some of Sequin Land’s recurring characters and make some half-genie magic happen when Shantae comes to Switch on April 22nd.
