As the Sinnoh remakes of Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl will release later this year, The Pokémon Company is already gearing up for some fun social media shenanigans with one of their adorable Generation IV leads. As viewers can see in Project Piplup’s latest Twitter Moment, The Pokémon Company showcases the penguin pocket monster in a special spotlight. As the Sinnoh starter’s new mega-size mascot goes around the company’s offices, viewers can watch Piplup do all sorts of activities including meeting Eevee and dancing.

While you may not be able to invite Piplup to your personal home for a penguin, winter, or even Pokémon-themed palooza, companies in Japan can begin renting the mascot for special appearances. On the Pokémon Company’s official website, a request form asking for the character to make remote visits will allow companies to utilize Piplup in their own marketing material.

Piplup may not be showing up in all sorts of Japanese advertisements any time soon as these visits have to be first approved by The Pokémon Company, however, you can likely expect to see Piplup in your feed more often as the character begins to make more appearances. When more Piplup news makes the roundup we will be sure to let you all know!
