I have fond memories of being a Star Wars fan around the time Episode III came out, bringing us tons of great games like Battlefront. One of the best games from that era, Star Wars Republic Commando, is finally available once again, this time on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 and 5.

The launch trailer put out by Aspyr Media gives you a good feeling for the game, which was heavily influenced by the big titles at the time, namely Halo. It was a darker, more violent Star Wars game, and the ability to direct the members of your squad was a fresh and exciting mechanic. Plus, the characters felt very fleshed out, meaning you care about each of them, rather than thinking of them as mere tools.

The game is out now on the Nintendo eShop for $14.99.
