Though Marth’s adventure may be gone from the Switch eShop, for fans outside of Japan that might not carry as much significance as a certain, later Fire Emblem. The Blazing Blade still carries a strong reputation for longtime western Emblemers, including myself. That’s why I’m excited to see four more of its characters make an appearance in Fire Emblem Heroes.

Joining her sisters is Farina, still holding tight to her gold. The middle sister of her game’s pegasus knights was exclusive to Hector’s campaign (and could even potentially marry him), and is bringing a weapon based on Dragonflower enhancement to Heroes. She’s joined by Louise and Pent, who previously (and fittingly) appeared as wedding versions of themselves. The group is closed out by Pent’s apprentice Erk, who’ll also be available as a four star unit.

The Bond of Trust focus will arrive on April 6th, and with it comes a new feature to Heroes. As shown in the video, if you summon forty times before a qualifying focus ends you’ll not only be able to pick a featured character for free as before, you’ll also receive a Celestial Stone. These items can then be exchanged for items like Forma Souls and Trait Fruits. If you pour plenty of orbs chasing your favorites, at least now you’ll have a kind of consolation prize to look forward to.

When he isn’t writing for Nintendo Wire, Ricky’s anticipating the next Kirby, Fire Emblem, or if the stars ever align, Mother 3 to be released. Till then he’ll have the warm comfort of Super Smash Bros. to keep him going.
