Sharpen your long swords and get your Palicoes ready for some thrills because Monster Hunter Rise is only hours away from its release — but more importantly, make sure you clear some storage space on your Nintendo Switch! As to be expected with the recent Monster Hunter titles, Capcom will be delivering a day one patch when Rise arrives this Friday, March 26th.

The Version 1.1.1 day one patch for Monster Hunter Rise comes in at 0.6GB (600MB) and will be available the night of the game’s release. The patch will give players access to the first line of downloadable content available right from the get-go along with in-game amiibo support and of course some minor bug fixes. Players can check if they are up to date on the latest version of the game in the bottom righthand corner of the title screen.

The Monster Hunter Rise day one patch will be required to access the Deluxe Edition’s DLC and online functionality across both versions of the game. Will you be heading for Kamura Village this Friday?

If more important Monster Hunter Rise news makes the rounds prior to release, we’ll be sure to let you all know!
