Cheat codes may not be as prominent in games as they once were, but that doesn’t mean secrets from a bygone age can’t be uncovered. One such code has just been discovered for Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, as shared by @shirokirby and @Graample on Twitter.
earlier today, someone2639 discovered a hidden cheat code in kirby 64. if you plug in a second controller, then hold L and press C up, C up, R, C right, C left, then start, your third file will have 100% completion. https://t.co/KkVybJgfxx

First you need a fresh, 0% File 3. Then when you start up the game, hold L when the HAL Laboratory logo appears and press C up, C up, R, C right, C left, Start. If performed correctly, this will then give File 3 100% completion!
There’s a chance this code won’t work on the Wii versions of the game (Virtual Console and Kirby 20th Anniversary Collection) due to button mapping limitations (as noted by shirokirby), but if you’re playing the N64 original or on Wii U go ahead and give it a try!
