From Taito’s Darius Cozmic Revelation compilation, G-Darius HD is getting an update later this year. Announced during today’s Square Enix Presents, the developers (M2’s Naoki Horii and Yukiko Karashima), the once arcade exclusive G-Darius Ver.2 will be added (standard and HD options too)!
G Darius Ver.2 Changes (Arcade version)
- Beginner mode
- Switched ending (Beginner mode)
- Rapid fire button
- Game speed adjustments
- Enemy endurance adjustments
- Player endurance adjustments – Mid-bosses added to some zones
- Skip function for demo screens added
- Boss timer and timer bonus added
- Calculations for score ranking changed
- Boss attack patterns changed and added

There isn’t a set release date for this new update, just that it’ll be coming to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 in “late 2021”. While you wait, physical editions of the game are available to pre-order once again from Strictly Limited Games.
