One of the biggest surprises out of this week’s Nintendo Direct had to have been the announcement of both Famicom Detective Club remakes getting localized. These NES era mysteries are exciting gets in their own right, but if you love your retro revivals or have been extremely curious about Ayumi Tachibana thanks to Super Smash Bros., then you might be interested in this upcoming import.

The Famicom Detective Club Collector’s Edition Set will pair both The Missing Heir and The Girl Who Stands Behind on one game cart, as well as soundtracks for both games. An artbook, here called a Survey File, will take on the appearance of a detective notebook and include both materials for the remakes as well as the original Famicom releases. Speaking of those, the best part of the Collector’s Edition package has to be the recreation of promotional leaflets for both games, capturing the aesthetic of their time perfectly.

You can currently import the Famicom Detective Club Collector’s Edition via Play-Asia for $106.99 before shipping. Be sure to use the code NINWIRE at checkout to save 5% on this (as of now) Japan exclusive set. It’ll release on May 14th, the same day as both titles arrive digitally on the US eShop.
