Anyone still regularly escaping hell or curious about what went into one of the best-received games of 2020, I’ve got some required viewing for you right here. Noclip is dedicated to producing and filming video game documentaries that are completely free to watch and fully crowdfunded. They’ve tackled a wide variety of games and subjects that can be browsed via the link above, but their latest is for anyone taken with Supergiant Games’ Hades

 

 

Titled Developing Hell, it chronicles Hades’ time in Early Access all the way to its overwhelmingly positive reception. Multiple facets of the game’s creation get dedicated episodes, such as its music and art design and the unique challenges of developing the game during the COVID-19 pandemic

The final episode just went up yesterday, bringing the full runtime of Hades: Development Hell to over four hours. With no slated plans for the future of Hades, it’s well worth looking at what went into creating its present.
