Reggie Fils-Aimé’s love of the Legend of Zelda is no secret. He previously named Breath of the Wild as his favorite game from his time working at Nintendo, but over the weekend he made an even firmer statement. Ahead of the series’ 35th anniversary this month, Reggie named his favorite game of all time as The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.

This isn’t the first time he’s spoken up about ALttP either, having previously called it his favorite Zelda game. The broader classification came about from Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon (himself a known Nintendo fan) talking about his past with the NES and the all too relatable fear of accidental game resets.

In turn, Fils-Aimé named the SNES his retro Nintendo console of choice, a claim I’m sure plenty others would agree with even with the N64 and even the GameCube getting on in years.

When he isn’t writing for Nintendo Wire, Ricky’s anticipating the next Kirby, Fire Emblem, or if the stars ever align, Mother 3 to be released. Till then he’ll have the warm comfort of Super Smash Bros. to keep him going.
