Are you a hunter who has a long friends list on your Nintendo Switch? Many Monster Hunter Rise players who have been attempting to log on to the recently released demo have reported that the game was having a consistent stuttering issue. While Capcom remained silent on the matter since the demo’s release, the company has finally addressed the problem in an official statement. According to the publisher, the issue only pertains to players who have a large number of friends on their Switch and is not in the final game.

To quote Siliconera, the following statement from Monster Hunter Rise’s official Twitter in English states:

“For customers using the demo version of Monster Hunter Rise, if the number of registered friends on the user’s account exceeds a certain number, the game will begin to stutter (this is a processing failure). Please be assured that we have confirmed that this issue does not occur in the full version. We apologize for any inconveniences and thank you for your support.”

Monster Hunter Rise’s demo is available on Switch for a limited time. Those who play the demo will receive a special pack of items upon booting up the full game when it releases on March 26th. For more on Monster Hunter Rise, you can check out all our coverage on the upcoming title right here!
