The Pokémon GO Tour: Kanto event is now just a little over a month away, and developer Niantic has just teased another upcoming little surprise for nostalgic Pokémon players.

During the Kanto event, you will see Trainer characters on the in-game map, who you can challenge to battle (this feature is available to all players, even if you don’t have a ticket for the event). By partaking in a new competition on Twitter, you may be in with a chance of having your Pokémon GO avatar used as one of these new in-game Trainers!

To enter, you need to submit your entry on Twitter by Monday, January 11th, at 11:59 p.m. PT. The Pokémon GO blog lists the following requirements for eligible entries:

  • A screenshot of your Trainer profile that includes your Trainer name and shows off your avatar’s outfit.
  • A list of three Pokémon that would make up your team. These Pokémon must be among those originally discovered in the Kanto region and cannot include Ditto, or any Legendary or Mythical Pokémon.
  • The hashtag #PokémonGOTourContest.

The site also notes that entries will be judged based on “creativity of avatar outfit,” “general theme,” and “Pokémon team composition.” Given examples of themes include “a cool and dynamic Electric-type Trainer or a fluid and powerful Water-type Trainer.”

You can find a complete list of rules on the official Pokémon GO blog too. Best of luck, Trainers!
