WayForward may already have one aesthetically pleasing side scroller revival on Switch, but one more couldn’t hurt, right? Announced today, Double Dragon Neon is heading to the eShop later this month.

While it’s straightforward on paper, Neon brought a lot of great ideas and sensibilities to the classic series back in 2012. By equipping Billy and Jimmy with various cassette mixtapes, you could give them new skills on top of their base abilities. The soundtrack was also great, presented by none other than Jake Kaufman (Shovel Knight, DuckTales Remastered) and capturing the series and the game’s totally radical vibe perfectly.

Be ready to go full 80’s when Double Dragon Neon brings the Lee Brothers to Switch on December 21st.
