When it came to these Kirby Fighters 2 videos, Nintendo decided to slow-roll it. Here we are over two months away from the game’s (almost) surprise release, and they’re still going through copy abilities and Dream Friends. But I’m a simple person – I see Kirby, I like Kirby. So here we are with Copy Compendium 4!

The theme this time is long range, emphasized best with the trio of hats Kirby is donning. Archer Kirby (called Sniper Kirby in Japan) definitely embraces that most fully. Not only can you fire off shots from full screen, but you can come in from aerial angles with a rain of arrows or even take cover and pick them off with low profile projectiles.

Cutter and Bomb are a little more mid-range, though when played right they can be even tougher to get in on. With smart jumps you can have cutter blades coming in from surprising angles to cover you, while Bomb lets you place and lob timed explosives as you like. They and Archer are all tricky in their own ways, but no one in Kirby Fighters 2 is more tricky than this guy…

Magolor has certainly taken off, taking on roles ranging from cosmic wizard to thrifty shopkeeper. This time around he’s another playable option, carrying techniques mostly from his Return to Dream Land debut. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t have some Gem Apples up his gloves, though, and when taken as a whole he definitely has one of the most varied movesets in the whole game.

You can check them and the rest of the abilities and rivals out in Kirby Fighters 2, available on the Switch eShop now.
