In Japan, various games you wouldn’t expect to run on Switch have received cloud-based ports, like Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Phantasy Star Online 2. Now the west is getting some of its own in the form of Hitman 3 and Control.

First up, and “available now”, is Control Ultimate Edition Cloud Version. This third-person shooter has you manipulate the environment with some physics defying powers as you explore a bureau filled with the paranormal.

IO Interactive will also be bringing the upcoming Hitman 3 to Switch with a similar Cloud Version. This latest entry in the series all about assassinations takes the action to Dubai, England, and more, and on other systems owners of the previous two games in the series can import those maps to play in the updated engine. We’ll have to wait and see if Switch players will be able to access the same content.

Hitman 3 will be launching on January 20th, 2021 for other consoles, but the Switch release is simply listed as “coming soon.”

Whether it’s an exciting new entry in a series long established or a weird experiment meant only for the dedicated, Tom is eager to report on it. Rest assured, if Nintendo ever announces Elite Beat Agents 2, he’ll be there.
