Today’s the day Nintendo brings Mario Kart to your living room in a whole new way with Mario Kart Live: Home Tour. This blend of remote controlled car and AR video game will take some creativity to make the most out of it, and Nintendo has shared some course making tips on its Japanese site.

This includes plenty of pictures and set ups for both simple ovals and five pointed stars. You can even use some old boxes to make tunnels, or use a rug to make things a little more bumpy – almost like you’re offroading.

They also shared some printable signs you can use to indicate turns or just decorate your tracks. Lastly, a full course creation was showcased putting all of this together along with some (arts and) crafty ingenuity.

You can pick up Mario Kart Live: Home Tour today, with both Mario and Luigi available to purchase.
