Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ seasons have been changing right before our eyes, with September slipping out and October making its presence known. My island’s seen more rain, perfect for a bountiful harvest, and some overeager shopping to prep for Halloween. If you’ve been out of the loop or just want to get a nice summation, Nintendo’s got a new video of what’s happening in game this month:

Be sure to buy up a piece of candy every day for October 31st, aka Halloween! If you haven’t yet you’ll also want to be on the lookout for certain critters – I still need to get that spiny lobster myself. If you were surprised by the ants in the video, don’t feel like you have to give up a piece of candy either, as spoiled turnips will work just fine.

Keep those pumpkins growing all month long and gather up as many Spooky recipes and items as you can!

When he isn’t writing for Nintendo Wire, Ricky’s anticipating the next Kirby, Fire Emblem, or if the stars ever align, Mother 3 to be released. Till then he’ll have the warm comfort of Super Smash Bros. to keep him going.
