Disgaea 6 is already on my radar, though with the game not coming until Summer 2021, that’s going to be a long wait. Thankfully as part of GAME LIVE JAPAN 2020, running concurrently with Tokyo Game Show, Nippon Ichi Software gave an extended look at the strategy RPG.

While it’s sad to see the series’ sprite work go, getting a fuller look at its 3D models is winning me over to the change. As mentioned previously, Disgaea 6 is shattering the previous level cap of 9999, and even if that ends up just a matter of display it’s very on brand for the over the top series.

Look forward to more info on Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny, launching exclusively on the Switch in the west, in the coming months.
