Shantae: Risky’s Revenge – Director’s Cut’s release on the Nintendo Switch eShop finally has a date: October 15th, 2020.
The news came out of developer WayForward’s Twitter account, which tweeted the following:
Mark your calendars! Shantae: Risky's Revenge – Director's Cut now has a digital release date on Switch, Xbox One, and Windows 10! This acclaimed second entry in the Shantae series will be arriving with a vengeance in just three weeks on October 15! pic.twitter.com/LD75AafLOw

A release of the game on Nintendo Switch was announced in early July alongside physical editions from Limited Run Games.
Those interested in owning a physical copy of Risky’s Revenge – Director’s Cut for Switch can still pre-order the game from Limited Run Games until October 11th; the publisher is selling both a standard and collector’s edition.
No solid release date has been put on the game’s physical prints, but they’re planned to launch this fall.
Shantae: Risky’s Revenge launched as a Nintendo DSi title in 2010; it was later ported to iOS in 2011.
In 2014, the “Director’s Cut” version featuring new artwork and tweaked gameplay features launched for PC; this version was later ported to PlayStation 4 and Wii U in 2015 and 2016, respectively.
