Handheld heroes rejoice, as Nintendo’s original (eventually) pocket sized system is the star of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s next Spirit Board event. Even if it could only show that murky green initially, this batch of Spirits is bringing a full kaleidoscope of characters.

Most prominent here are characters from Kirby and Pokémon, both of which started on and helped define the Game Boy. You’ll also spy some The Legend of Zelda, and can shake it with Shantae herself. Best of all though, this event means Nintendo is tweeting out Mole Mania in 2020.
Grab plenty of batteries and a wormlight for the Smash Ultimate Game Boy Spirit Board event, starting September 25th and running through the weekend.
